Amy

I can't breastfeed at all because my baby won't latch. I've been to 6 lactaction consultants and no one has been able to solve this problem. My milk supply is getting lower and lower every day it seems. Pumping does not keep the milk going the way a baby can.

I produce about 1/2 or at most 1oz between 2 breasts if I'm lucky. At my maximum I was producing 1 and a half to 2 oz. This deficiency happened right after my mother made me very upset about my lactation and latching problem.

I immediately experienced severe postpartum depression for several days after that. Perhaps that depression affected my hormones and I'll never get a better supply?

Now my breasts stop producing after about 5-10 minutes as my milk supply seems to be drying up. I've tried many types of different pumps and cup sizes. I've both hand and electronic pumps such as Medela, Almeda, Lanoshin.
