Fenugreek Bars

by Gabby

Thank you for the post. It was very informative. I never thought about sprouting the seeds. That is brilliant and sounds super easy. Are the sprouts bitter?

I took fenugreek through Mrs. Patel's Milk Maker's Fenugreek Bars (NOTE - I have NO affiliation with the company, just a user) and that really helped me. I had taken pills as well but it was just too much for me to swallow all the those pills 3x day. The Bar are pretty yummy and I take them with my morning tea (black tea is best) and it's my little treat for myself.

And thank you to the other posters - I just learned several new tricks for fenugreek! :)

buy fenugreek
by: Tracy

Hi!

I buy fenugreek seeds at a herbal shop. But I'm sure you can purchase them online too?

The sprouts are delicious in salads, I don't think they taste bitter. But that's just me.

I tried the tablets, and they did absolutely nothing for my supply. As soon as I started taking the natural forms of fenugreek, like the tea and sprouts, it worked wonders for my milk supply.

I think the fenugreek bars are such an awesome idea! I have not tried them yet!

buy fenugreek in South Africa
by: Anonymous

Here in South Africa, you can only find them in health food stores. They are quite inexpensive too. the last time I bought some (few months ago), it cost R15 for a box. Not sure how many grams, but its about two hand fulls of seed.

I like to add fennel leaves, alfalfa leaves and anise to the fenugreek seeds. I boil them for like 10 minutes, then I drink it hot with honey and lemon juice. It works wonders for low milk supply!
