Can nursing more frequently after period returned keep period away?

Missed periods are normal while nursing so since my periods have returned and I begin nursing more frequently will the increased nursing keep them away for a longer time?

Hi Theresa

A person can never tell whether your periods will continue or not. It can vary, you may have one and then skip one. Personally, I usually have a period every two months, but this does not mean that I am not fertile in-between.

As soon as your periods have started after birth, even if you skip one or two, you are fertile...so please take precautions.

It is obviously nice, just skipping them, but in my case, when I do have a period, it is so much more severe than when I have one every month.

Please post to let us ladies know whats happening, always nice to hear others experiences with this type of thing too.
