Gulps, chokes, sputters,during feeding

by Grace
(United States)

Hello, well this is what i am facing recently with my baby most of the times she gulps, chokes, sputters, during feeding, she is very fussy at the breast she pulls my breast with her mouth, archs, hold herself very stiffly, screaming, as she is struggling with my breast, it seems like a battle, nursing fitfully on and off, and once she stops breastfeeding i can see the milk coming down of her mouth, i am laying down, tummy to tummy position most of the times, often using the cradle hold position,
Sometimes she has explosive stools, sometimes watery, but still she is having 6-8 times poops per day, mustard color sometimes dark mustard. it happens that during a day she cries a lot and is restless as if she is gassy. i have been searching online, and read that i could be facing oversupply?? u think so??

She is now in her 3rd week (22 days old), she is sleeping most of the times, only wakes up when she wants to eat, it happens rarely that she is awake for no reason other that having gas or eating. during the night she sleeps for almost 4 hours sometimes she can sleep for 5 hours. but during the day she sleeps for 2-3 hours and wakes up again to eat, sometimes she eats for 5 minutes than falls asleep, and i can't make her wake up to continue breastfeeding, but she's gaining weight. is this normal? i am really worried about all the thgs i've mentioned up in my e-mail during breastfeeding.
