Menstruation within WEEKS of delivery!

I delivered 7 weeks ago and just started my 1st period! I couldn't believe it because I am EXCLUSIVELY breastfeeding. I now realize that I started so early because I was blessed with a wonderful baby that has been sleeping 7-8hrs a night for the last 3 weeks! I guess I am much more thankful for a baby that sleeps through the night and would take my period any time!

I hope you are still breast feeding! Make sure your baby gets the hind milk by staying on one breast until it's empty! It's recommended that you wake the baby for more frequent feedings; better for the baby and for you. I hope your baby sleeps in the bed next to you. It's best for night feeding, bonding, and a happy baby. Happy baby to you!

I am definitely still breastfeeding, EXCLUSIVELY! And my baby has almost doubled her birthweight in 7 weeks. She was only 5lbs when she was born and is now over 9lbs. She is a great eater during the day and loves to sleep at night! I guess I just got lucky!

That is awesome! The pediatricians in my area recommended to allow the baby to sleep through the night if they want to and feed through the day. So lucky you! my lo is sleeping 5hours a night and my period just returned. I would rather have sleep and a period.
