Hi Buhle

Mature breast milk only "comes in" at about day 3 or day 5 only, if you have had a c-section.

The milk that is produced the first few days before this is called colostrum and it is a clear or slightly yellow liquid. You will only produce small amounts of this, these small amounts are enough for baby.

Please do not supplement with formula in the first few days after birth, this will reduce your milk supply...you need to have baby at your breast for as often as possible to produce an adequate amount of breast milk.

Please don't hesitate to ask any more questions...let me know how it goes.

Good luck!
