Oregano, safe?

I was given Oregano as an antibacterial solution to a nasty sore throat, slight fever and congestion iny chest. But I am nursing my 5 month old and am reading it might not be safe and will decrease my milk supply. Can I take it but counter it with more milk plus or should I take somerhing else?

Oregano is safe to use while breastfeeding, many Mothers use it to lower milk supply, if they have oversupply issues.

So, yes, you could use it, but then just use other herbs that will help increase supply.

Some herbs and other things you can consider taking to keep your supply up:

Fenugreek
Alfalfa
Blessed thistle
Anise seed
Fennel seed
Eating oatmeal
Eating seaweed (or nori is sushi)
Drinking coconut water
