The Medela Swing Breast Pump
Medela Swing Breast Pump Review
If you do not want to spend a small fortune on a breast pump, but want something reliable and effective, the Medela swing breast pump will be your next best option. If however money is not an issue, I would recommend the Medela Symphony breast pump instead.
The medela swing electric breast pump is great for increasing milk supply and/or for those moms who just want to store their extra milk.
Advantages of the Medela Swing
- It also has the 2-phase expression technology, which makes it almost just as efficient as the Medela Symphony.
- The pump is small and therefore easy to cart around.
- The pump is simple to use.
- It is affordable.
- The suction and speed are said by some moms to be the same as the Symphony.
Tips for Purchasing the Medela Swing Breastpump
Allow the pump to run with the tubing attached when you are finished using the pump. This will clear the tubes within a few minutes.
Disadvantages of the Swing Medela
It is a little noisy. But not noisier than most other pumps.
What does it Include?
Medela Swing includes all the accessories you need to get started (including a bottle stand and two breastmilk bottles). All housed in a portable drawstring bag. AC adaptor included or takes 4 "AA" batteries (sold separately) for pumping on the go.
The Swing breast pump features Medela's 2-Phase Expression(R) technology which mimics a baby's natural nursing patterns. A light, fast stimulation phase is followed by a deeper, slower expression phase.
Swing accessories include 24 mm PersonalFit™ breast shield, valve, 2 membranes, tubing, and optional-use neck/shoulder strap.
